Last Minute Camp Checklist!!

All,

We are just a few days away from leaving for scout camp.  Here are some friendly reminders to ensure your scout is prepared for next week

We will meet at the church at 12 noon on Saturday.  We will load the trailer and plan to pull out by 12:30 pm.  Please eat lunch before you come.

  • Rain Gear
  • Bug Spray
  • Closed-toe Shoes (please do not bring sandals)
  • Camping chair
  • Towel – toiletries for showers.
  • Water bottle
  • Day pack/pen, and paper for merit badge classes
  • A watch or an alarm clock
  • Blanket/sleeping bag
  • Daily change of clothes
  • Swimsuit and swim shoes if planning to swim
  • Any medications (must be listed on health forms) will be given to an adult before we leave.
  • Money for meals, traveling to and from camp
  • Spending money at the camp store
  • CLASS A uniform and a hanger (these must be worn when traveling to and from camp and will be used during flag ceremonies at camp)
  • Bring supplies for the homemade boat race!!!

Please remember that all Cell phones will be taken up once we get to camp and returned before we leave. We will provide updates via the troop’s Facebook account and website. If, for any reason, parents need to contact your scouts, be sure to have the phone numbers of the adults attending camp and the camp phone number in case of an emergency.  I have listed a couple of those numbers below. We want our scouts to unplug and enjoy the camp and nature!   Finally, we are taking several vehicles to get all our scouts safely to camp.  If you can help with fuel costs, please send a little extra money with your scout to give to the driver they are riding with.  This helps with their out-of-pocket expense. We are looking forward to an exciting week of camp and fun!  Thank you all for your support!!!
