Summer Camp – Final Reminders
Howdy Campers!
We need everyone at the Church by 7:30 AM tomorrow morning, so we can be loaded and ready to roll by 8 AM.
PLEASE – Scouts need to put their gear in their trunk/box/bag on their own! This should help them remember 🤞 where they packed individual items. Sleeping items need to be the last thing packed. We’ll pull that out tomorrow night in Carlsbad. Don’t forget Towels, Flashlights/headlamps, and Rain Gear!
Daypacks – Bring Daypacks for the vehicles and the overnight essentials. HEADPHONES are required for vehicles! Scouts can also take them between classes.
Additional Money – This is a great situation for your scouts to PLAN a budget (they have been working on this with Personal Management).
- 6 Travel Meals ($10ish each) – 3 travel meals there, 3 travel meals back. (Good idea to separate travel money).
- Carlsbad Caverns $16 – Park entry and Self-Guided Tour
- Wehinehpay Souvenirs @ camp – $30-50, depending on what your scout may want.
- Snack Money from the Trading Post
- Feel free to tip the driver for gas
