Upcoming AOL Service Project

Hello AOL Families,

I promise this will (hopefully!) be the last update for a bit—thank you for your patience with all the messages lately. Our time is running short as we wrap up requirements and prepare for crossover, and I truly appreciate you all bearing with me as we make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

AOL Service Project – Trash Pickup (Final Requirement)
📅 January 31
3:00–5:00 PM
Blackhawk Creek Trails

We will be completing our final AOL requirement with a trash pickup service project. This will officially finish all requirements for the Arrow of Light rank.

I will bring a snack to share afterward as a small celebration. If anyone would like to bring an additional snack, you are welcome to, but it is absolutely not required.

Please have scouts wear comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and bring work gloves if they have them.

Troop Meetings on Tuesdays
As part of our transition to Scouts BSA, the boys are welcome and encouraged to attend troop meetings on Tuesdays. This is a great way for them to get familiar with the troop, meet older scouts, and feel more comfortable ahead of crossover.

Other Upcoming Reminders

  • Pack Meeting (Pizza Night): Scouts will need to arrive around 5:15to help serve pizza.

  • Upcoming Campout: Don’t forget about the upcoming troop campout next weekend. Jason will be available for questions after the pack meeting.

  • Pinewood Derby – February 7: We are planning a concession stand fundraiser to help fund crossover. Store-bought or homemade treats are both fine, and we will also need families willing to bring drinks to sell. Please message me with what you plan to bring when you’re able.

Thank you all so much for your flexibility, support, and encouragement this year. I’m incredibly proud of how far the boys have come, and I’m excited to see them finish strong.

Courtney
