Family Camp This Weekend!

๐Ÿ‚ Fall Family Camp Is This Weekend! ๐Ÿ‚

Hey Cub Scout families!
Weโ€™re so excited for Fall Family Camp โ€” happening this weekend, November 7โ€“9, at the American Legion in Lindale (18251 County Road 498)!

You can start arriving as early as 5 PM on Friday to set up camp, settle in, and kick off a weekend full of fun, food, and adventure! ๐Ÿ•๏ธ

๐ŸŽฃ Fishing Reminder:
If youโ€™re bringing fishing gear, please make sure your hooks do not have barbs. If you need barbless hooks, weโ€™ll have plenty available at camp.

๐Ÿฅพ For AOLs and Bears:
Donโ€™t forget to bring your Six Essentials for the hike!
AOLs โ€” remember, you must camp at least one night with your patrol or a Scouting America Troop, and this weekend is one of those special opportunities to check that box!

๐Ÿณ Cooking Clinics:
Weโ€™ll be hosting our first-ever cooking clinics at camp! AOLs will help prep food as part of their Knife Safety elective.
If youโ€™re participating, please bring your own food โ€” weโ€™ll show you how to prep and cook it right on site.

Hereโ€™s the menu and items list for the weekend:

Friday Dinner: Hot dogs ๐ŸŒญ, buns, chips, and your favorite toppings
Saturday Breakfast: Sausage, eggs, and seasoning ๐Ÿฅš
Saturday Lunch: Sandwiches from home + chips ๐Ÿฅช
Saturday Dinner: Kabobs (Hormel pre-marinated pork tenderloin, bell pepper, onion), ranch-style beans, and boil-in-a-bag rice.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Optional: Bring tortillas & cheese to turn your kabobs into fajitas! ๐ŸŒฎ
Sunday Breakfast: Something easy from home that does not require cooking (weโ€™re doing muffins!) ๐Ÿง

Weโ€™ll provide all cooking supplies and heat sources โ€” just bring your food, plates, and utensils.
If you take part in the cooking clinic, please help with the cleanup of supplies afterward.
